My apple 5c blue tooth will not connect with my Ford Fusion's SYNC. Followed SYNC's instructions. Could not find anything on phone's manual. Any suggestions?

Before following SYNC's instructions, did you place your iPhone in the mode where it is visible to other devices? The Ford can search for your phone, but if it is not visible to it, it won't find it.

When you turn on Bluetooth on the iPhone you can look for the fords broadcast name if you placed it in discovery mode.
If found it should connect. The same holds true in reverse. If you place the Bluetooth in discovery the auto should find the iPhone.
You can ask this question here http://www.apple.com/support/iPhone
Or stop by your Ford dealers service department.
