I preorder one for full price with month to month service.
Will Verizon unlocked it right away?
Because AT&T will unlock it right away if you paid full price of the phone.

Only if you meet the requirements Verizon Wireless has decided for customers to qualify for the unlock request.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I thought it was 6 months. But it being unlocked will not get you service with ATT. Apple is selling different iPhones based on the Provider so one can not use the others service.

Correct. And you do not need it unlocked to use overseas as long as you have a VZW account.

To use a prepaid SIM card, it does need to be unlocked, I think budone was referring to the fact that you can use the Verizon (Vodafone probably) SIM abroad, providing you get Verizon to activate it that way. But that is usually much much more expensive than prepaid.
You said AT&T will unlock if you pay full price. For whatever reason, it appears that Verizon's policy doesn't distinguish between subsidized and unsubsidized purchases, and it probably should. In the iPhone case though, GSM users will probably be able to buy an unlocked version from Apple anyway (as they did with the 4s) so if carriers didn't provide full retail unlocking, they would lose the sale.

Hopefully this information is still correct. Read ChristinaB's post.

Are you wanting a fully unlocked device (meaning it can be used on any GSM provider...as long as you get a sim card from them) or are you wanting a unlocked sim meaning when you travel internationally you can use a prepaid sim instead of having to pay VZW's international prices? Apple has yet to announce if they are selling unlocked iPhone 5 devices like they did the iPhone 4s on their website, but if they do then you will see the information listed on their site. They didn't do it for the iPhone 4's until a little while after they were released so the possibility exists...you would need to contact Apple for any info about that. Otherwise, you have to be referring to unlocking the sim and understand as mentioned that you will not be able to use it on AT&T or any other network in the US.
