It would've been delivered on 11/8, but we were out of town until yesterday. VZW arranged for UPS to hold it for me at UPS's customer pick up location nearby...so I only picked it up earlier this evening after I got off work. Can't believe I actually have it now, after all the anticipation and having an original "deliver by" date of 12/1.
Love it so far, even though it's only been a few of hours. Got used to the no Touch ID very quickly. I mean I only just picked it up tonight so that says something! FaceID is instant - awesome. I also like the slightly smaller form factor compared to my now-retired iPhone 6s Plus...smaller form factor but bigger screen than that of the 6s Plus (!).
Tip: When you're sitting down with your old iPhone getting ready to activate the new X, be sure to disable "Find My iPhone" on the old phone FIRST. The set up and activation on the X will be interrupted and not go forward until you do that.

I have had mine for a few days now (picked it up on 11/17...ordered it at Best Buy 6 days earlier and wasn't expecting it in until December but got the email that it was ready for pickup). Enjoyingit so far. Really simple to get used to not having Touch ID (and you find yourself not thinking to use it when you handle one with it by trying to swipe lol). Face ID is super fast and despite some of the complaints about the extra step of needing to swipe it's really not that serious lol. The only "complaints" I have so far would be the missing perks I was used to...being able to see a battery percentage on the main screen or at all...the unfortunate lack of full use of the screen in some situations...the extra sensitive Siri button (pretty sure when my Otterbox Strada finally arrives I won't have that issue lol). But overall I'm happy with it. I enjoy the smaller footprint with out a smaller screen. I think if it was a tad bit wider the full screen would be used in most cases...would be great if it ends up being something that can be "fixed" with an update and isn't tied to a slightly less wide screen. Wishful thinking but again, it's not that serious and isn't really a deal breaker.
