My phone is not making a sound when I receive texts from one phone number only. It is when I receive texts from all others.
Try going into your Contacts app, select that Contact, tap Edit on the top-right, then change their Text Tone and see if you're still not getting notifications from them.
If the problem persists after that, there's a few other things you can try. Assuming you restarted the phone already, the things I would try would be deleting conversation history with that contact, deleting and re-adding the contact, or settings reset.
Okay I have done that already. And restarted the phone.
I havent tried deleting the contact and re-adding. I will try that.
