I just arrived in Portugal and find that many of my apps (CNN, Weather)on my iPad now start with statements, citing “Oath”, that I must accept access to my data for targeted advertising, etc. or opt out in complicated ways for the different ISPs, and sites. Oath is apparently associated with Verizon Media. I’m trying to find out how to get through these barriers and having no luck contacting the right place at Verizon. This is not a “phone” issue but rather a wrapper of some sort from VM trying to get agreement to access data and share it broadly (which, I suppose, they probably already do).
