Really bad service on iPhone 7

I see lots of people saying they have poor service - I am experiencing it, too, and throughout the NYC area. From dropped calls, to bad voice quality, to no data connection to no transcription, to switching endlessly between 1x and 3G (but never LTE), nothing is good about this combo of phone and Verizon. I've tried all the steps of troubleshooting to no avail and now appear stuck - buy the phone and move on, OR accept an endless stream of replacements.

What should I do?
