WillyWho, the iPhone SE is a great phone that supports Wi-Fi Calling. While the CDMA network is retiring, the iPhone SE is capable of this connection to support service. Does this help?

Anthony3841, this seems to be a very popular topic and we want to ensure that you receive the correct information. Our valued community members and my Verizon team members have previously provided responses to this inquiry. Just to be sure we're on the right path to assist you as well. The iPhone SE is an HD Voice (Advanced Calling) compatible device and does work on the Verizon network. We've noted your reference to having been told that the iPhone SE will no longer work (On the Verizon network). I apologize for any miscommunication that may have been conveyed. Currently, 3G / 4G non-HD Voice CDMA devices can't be activated for any new line of service on the Verizon network. You can view additional information about CDMA Network Activation Retirement by visiting our website at http://spr.ly/66051d02b. I'm confident that this information will be helpful to you. - RobertC_VZW

I was told by a Verizon chat rep that our iPhone SE will no longer have software updates starting March 1, 2020, and that we'd experience "glitches" starting then and eventually it would stop working. The rep said it was anything older than an iPhone 7 that would experience these problems. I called Apple and was told it was absolutely not true that iPhone SE and 6 plus would no longer have software updates. I feel like Verizon is absolutely misleading customers and should be the subject of a class action suit for doing so.
So for the record, and on the record, what is going to happen to iPhone SE and iPhone 6 plus on the Verizon network in 2020?

No, I am not having problems but Verizon is causing problems by disseminating false information as in the chat text copy I provided. We needlessly purchased two new iPhones directly from Apple solely because of the Verizon misinformation that both our SE and our 6 Plus would stop working. The pattern of misinformation is occurring so frequently on this topic that it's akin to Wells Fargo shenanigans.

Here is a specific chat with Verizon saying that the SE will stop working in 2020 as will anything earlier than an iPhone 7:

A rep who clearly is in need of retraining is what is going on. The SE is a smaller 6S, not a 5.
