Tracking and recovering a missing IPAD

I lost my IPAD and we wold like to know how to trace it and get it back

On your iPhone go into "find my" and it will show the location of it provided the iPad is turned on. Even if it isn't turned on, go into "Notifications" and turn on "Notify When Found". If and when the device is turned on and connected to cellular or wifi you will be alerted.
