Hi all,
I am moving to Canada for 6-12 months at the end of the year from Europe. I will be spending about a month in the USA before I move, and I wanted to buy a Verizon Iphone 5 when I arrive there. I want to buy a Verizon CDMA Iphone because I will be moving back to the USA after my contract is finished in Canada and then I plan on buying a Verizon plan. So basically I'm going USA--->Canada--->Back to USA.
I wanted to know: Can I buy the phone from Verizon (cash, not on a plan) when I arrive in the US initially along with a pay-as-you-go or prepaid sim card to be used for that month. Then when I get to Canada I want to get a plan from Bell (also a CDMA network from what I can tell), use that for 6-12 months and then buy a verizon plan when I return to the US? Basically I'm asking: What's the best way to go about buying an Iphone 5 in the US that will work on both US and Canadian plans? From what I can tell the Verizon Iphone 5's aren't locked to the network, but I'm not sure about the Canadian providers.
Thanks!
Alex

You can do a month to month no contract plan not prepaid Means you still need a credit check then pay full price and do a Canadian plan or use the local sim while there but be on a Verizon plan.
