Will a 4g sim card work in an iphone 4s?

I am curious to know if a 4G sim card will make an  iphone 4s 4g?  I know the physical size of the two sim cards is different, but with a little trimming it fits perfect.  Any info would be appreciated.

No, it will not work. The iPhone is also missing the hardware components such as the LTE radio.

Yes, full-sized sims can be trimmed to fit the iPhone. There are even sim cutters you can buy. But in this case, 4G is incompatible with the 4s.
