iPhone 4S [Shipping]

Hey guys, I am new to the forums.

I ordered an iPhone 4S - White - 16 GB on October 18th, 2011 @ around 6:00 PM EST [Tuesday].

I went into a local VerizonWireless center and got a representative to order one for me from one of their computers.

When I got home, I got an email confirmation of my order with my order # and order location.

It also said "Ship By: 10/28/2011".

That is the only email I have received from Verizon Wireless and I'm not sure if I'll be receiving my iPhone by this coming Friday 😕

I read on other topics that people who order by Oct. 18 will receiver their phone by Nov. 4 (facepalm) and also people get their tracking number from Verizon about 2 days before the actual delivery date.

Can anyone clarify EVERYTHING up for me? I'm pretty darn anxious of getting my first iPhone/Smartphone.

If you can, please tell me the possibility of getting it by this Friday [Oct. 28] or next Friday [Nov. 4]!

EDIT 1: If it makes any difference.. I live in North Carolina!

EDIT 2: When I check my order status on the Verizon Wireless website, where I bubble in "VerizonWireless.com".. It says, "We received your order and it is in process.  - - - Expected Ship Date: 10/28/2011". But when I bubble in the "VerizonWireless Store".. It only shows my order # but the Tracking Number field is blank.

Well, today's the 28th and they still haven't charged my card. So much for "will ship by 10-28". I'm very irritated.

Be prepared to wait. I ordered mine on the 18th and the confirmation email said "will ship by 10/28". I called Verizon this morning and was told my order is still processing. I was also told they don't ship on the weekends because the warehouse is closed, so if my phone doesn't ship today it won't ship until Monday.

Dang, you got lucky. I ordered mine online on 10-18, it just shipping on the evening of 10-28. It's at the local FedEx facility and will be out for delivery by 3pm Monday. I'm having it delivered to my office...think I'll be productive the rest of the day?

I just ordered my iPhone 4s yesterday (11-1-11) over the phone and they informed it that it will ship by the 11th of November (this month) I'm wondering if it will indeed be on the 11th, or maybe before? and after its shipped how long will it take to reach me in Georgia. Hmmm

I ordered mine on 11/1 (a white 16g 4s) with expected ship of 11/11.  It charged and shipped today 11/4 and FedEx says I'll have it 11/7 (Monday).

I ordered my iPhone 4S 16GB around 3:00 P.M. ET 11/9/11 and it says it will be shipped on 11/11/11. I got free same day delivery, do you think I may get it earlier or get pushed back like I've heard of happening to everyone else. I hope that's not the case and I can finally have a phone. Or do you think it will just come Friday?

I also live at college and apperently have to sign for it? How can I do that when I have class all day and anything bigger than like 4 inches goes to our mail room.. I just want my iPhone to be here today so I can finally have a phone. Sucks being in college and without a phone for a week:[

That's a security thing. It's waaay too easy for someone to walk up to your door and scoop up a small package just sitting there.

Perhaps your mail room can be alerted to sign for your package when it arrives. Surely, they have to sign for packages all day, that's their job. However, if they don't or won't, FedEx, or whatever shipper, will leave a call tag that should be delivered to you. Then you can take that call tag to the shipper's central office (the address will be on the tag) and pick up your package (which is usually off the delivery truck and back in the warehouse "after 7:00pm").

You will (or should) get a tracking number from Verizon once the phone is shipped. Once you get that number and know when the delivery date is, I'd start making my strategy for picking up the phone.

i ordered my iphone 4s on 11-11-11 in a verizon store, and the ship date was posted for 12-9-11! i was shocked.  i received an email right after ordering that the order has been placed and a tracking number and location number came with the email.. but when i go online to try and track the order for the past three days when i hit track order nothing happens and a red box shows up saying "we're experiencing technical difficulties, try again later". this is very aggravating. i'm hoping my phone comes in sooner that december ninth because im in desperate need of a phone. any thoughts?

I am having the exactly same problem.  I ordered another iPhone 4s after the first one crashed on the 9th day of use.  It crashed during the new upgrade.  Four different techinicians deemed the phone faulty.  I mailed it back Monday.  My first iPhone order was delivered in three days.  This order from 11/11/11 seems to be floating in purgatory.  "Pending shipment" is the official status.  One tech said that the other phone had to come in first.  One said that the new phone would be here by Thursday.  It would just be nice to KNOW that there is an order back log.  It is a long time until 12/9!

I somehow had this gut feeling that the rep at the verizon store where I ordered my 64gb black iphone4s was **bleep**'ing me.  I had mentioned to him that verizon website said it could be a month and he blew it off saying its actually only taking a few days to receive them.  I hope he proves me wrong!  But then again, this is also the same dude who tried to talk me out of the 64gb stating 32gb was more than enuf.  Really?!  I don't care if 16gb was more than enuf, its my $$ and I'll spend it if I want to lol.

I ordered on 11/11/11 as well, late that evening.  My order status says, "Your order has been sent for processing."  My credit card has been charged, without the NE2 discount that I had, apparently.  So, perhaps it will arrive before Santa.
