Hello Adam. Something weird going on with my iPhone 5 order. I think I was the first to order on the verizonmsite I had my pc and iPad and iPhone refreshing till It said order now and I breezed through it since I was paying full price with no discount, the weird thing is it has shipped with a delivery date of 9-19 and I confirmed this with FedEx and it is now saying in transit. What's the chances I will recieve this thing tomorrow like it says.

I just checked the FedEx site and I'm still getting on schedule for delivery 9-19-12 by 3:00pm. That has to be a mistake right.

When I called Verizon reps I also was told the 28th. That was yesterday, the 18th. At 6:20 PM I received an email with tracking numbers and a delivery date of the 21st. The rep told me that the were back ordered. I just think that they (reps) perhaps are not being updated. ???

My wife and I are both original debut 3GS owners from ATT (so well past time for the upgrade)....and are taking the plunge on iPhone 5 with Verizon.

I ordered a black 64GB model and she got a black 32GB model.

 

The order process started 7:00 Eastern time on 09-14 over the phone with a business customer rep (to avail the IBM employee discount). The process was completed 7:32 AM with the following email.

Welcome to my world!

I placed nine iPhone orders with Verizon Business and two with AT&T Business.  I've got shipping notices from AT&T but nothing from Verizon!  All were ordered between 7:00 AM EDT and 8:30 AM EDT.

I received email yesterday around 5:30pm  from VZ that my IP5 has shipped out with tracking #  on Fexdex and it stated that it will be there at my house on 21st by 3:00pm . Hopefuly , I receive before it hit the store . note: I ordered it on 14th at 2:45am.

Just spoke with a customer service supervisor at the business center.  According to him orders that were received, AND PROCESSED, before 11 AM EDT have an expected delivery date of 9/21.  Orders placed and processed between 11:00 AM EDT and 1:00 PM EDT have an expected delivery date of 9/26.  So I guess the key here is not when your order was placed but rather when the order was processed.  Given that Verizon allowed consumers to order at 3 AM EDT and didn't open up the business side of the house until 7 AM EDT, it would seem to me like business orders had to get in line behind all the ones placed during the four hours prior, basically shafting their business customers.

Great job Verizon!

I am in the same business center boat. I actually called the night before the launch screaming at customer service about why as a business customer i have to wait until 7am when everyone else gets to order at 3am. I was told by him and shockingly 2 others customer service reps since that business orders are seperate from cosumers and that business customers have their own pre order process with their own inventory. so no we won't be behnid the consumers who ordered at 3 am since we have our own inventory. i still havent gotten a shipping confirmation and when i called and spoke to another CSR yesterday they said that the tracking number should be made available on thursday for overnight shipping with the phone being delivered friday. i received my original confirmaton email at 8:47 AM EST so I'm I'm suring if you ordered before 11 AM you will get the phone by 3pm on Friday.
