I want to trade in my iphone 6 for a 7. They're offering a credit of $650 once they get my trade in. has anyone received the FULL $650 credit? I remember 2 years ago VZ pulled this bait and switch and did not honor the full credit.

The $650 credit is spread out over 2 years, so you get a credit on your monthly bill of around $27 a month for 2 years.

Also I believe if you upgrade lets say after 12 months that $27 credit a month stops.

caryrae73 is correct. Verizon is doing this very different this year. The $650 is spread over 24 payments to counter your device payments. If you payoff the phone early, or use it to upgrade in 12 months, then the credits stop.
I have 1 line I sent in a iPhone 6 for $650. I have the confirmation the phone was received by tracking, but I have not received any confirmation from Verizon nor confirmation the $650 was approved.

So basically your account is neutral once they apply the credit? (you get charged $27 per month and then get credited $27 per month)?

Depends on what your monthly device charge is. My 128gb 7 plus I think is $35 a month so I'll pay $8 extra a month. It says it can take 2-3 billing cycles before the credit starts showing on the bill.

I'd like to clarify. You start receiving credit for the device after the first 2 cycles. We can verify if the promotion was successfully added to your account after a few days, but you will not see an adjustment until 2-3 cycles. -Tyler

Is it possible that we will not get the full $650 credit? There were many reports from 2 years ago when Verizon was purportedly to give $200 credit for phones traded in, but customers received little more than half that credit.

My understanding is you pay the full payment with no offset the first 2 to 3 months.

I asked Mary in Verizon customer service this same question. Here is my understanding of her answer:
- For the first two bills, you will pay the full payment for the new phone.
- On the third bill:
- Your phone payment will be reduced to account for the trade in.
- You will also receive a credit for the amount you overpaid on the first two bills.

Has anyone got confirmation, other than the USPS delivery confirmation, of the phone being accepted for the full value that was promised? I have delivery confirmation, but nothing anywhere on any other confirmation.

Verizon got my phones back on 9/23 and they haven't given any indication that they received them yet. I called them, and the person said that they did scan them in, but it may be two weeks more before I get any email.
You can check the status with the link below. The "submission id" is in an email they sent you.
Check Electronic Device Recycling Status – Verizon Wireless
For me, the status still says "Recycling Box Mailed" even though they received the phones back 5 days ago.

Received with 30 days. They have been known to deny after that time.
I did get full $650 for an iPhone 6 and full $400 credit for iPhone 5.

Thanks for your response!
Do you mean for Verizon to receive the iphone 6 within:
1) 30 days of activating iphone 7 OR
2) 30 days of having received the iphone 7?
I haven't activated yet, still waiting for case. Thanks
