Welcome to the community!

I'm glad you are looking a new smartphone, we have a lot of great options!  Both devices are innovative, fast and unique.  Each user has a different opinion and experience with either device. I recommend going here and checking out all of our smartphones and researching the specs/features so you can determine the best fit for you!

For me it came down to screen size. The iphone is just too small especially when compared to the 4.3 inch screen of the tb. For me the iphone is tiny and I could never get one. I hear the iphone 5 may come with a 4 inch screen, I'll wait til 2012 and see.

I have the iPhone 4 and a Droid Incredible (somewhat similiar HTC phone).  I like the iPhone for the better apps and better battery life. I like the Incredible for widgets and better navigation. At the end of the day I'll take battery life over all features so iPhone 4 was my choice. Hope you enjoy wich ever device you choose.

I got a new iPhone4 yesterday. 1st impression is a good one. I had already d/l  iTunes, so I just plugged the phone into computer and in less than a minute it was activated, and my Outlook contacts were imported. So far I've been able to do all the basic things w/o much trouble. The size is not an issue for me, but I'm not sure I like the iTunes set up. I had a Droid Incredible for awhile last year, and I could d/l apps right to the phone, if I recall correctly, I liked that better. Call quality on iPhone is better than Incredible, which was the reason I got rid of it.

Using iTunes is just one way to download apps. You can also go to the app store right on your phone and download directly to your phone.
