As of today (10/22/13) I can't text, call, or check my account. When I send a text message it says "Delivery Failed: (Service Not Available)"
I've tried calling someone, and the call doesn't go through, it just drops. When I call service numbers, like *611, it says that "Sorry, I'm having some technical difficulties"
what's going on?
I live in Jackson, MS area. my zip is 39211

I'm switching. There is no reason for a five hour nationwide system failure nor any explanation/apology as to its cause. Never had this problem with other carriers. Who knows when this will randomly happen again?

its funny not..;look at the support page now the customer service reps are answering others questions about random things but no one has answered aNy about the outage

There was a national outage for prepaid customers on Oct 22, 2013.
As for the reps, they reply to unanswered question approx two or more days after the original post was created. This is to give the community members a chance to answer first. The posts you were seeing them reply to on that day had been on the community for some timer already.
