i searched this forum and was not able to find answer about how to protect iphone if it was damaged by water. few years ago i had insurance for other verizon phone but when it got wet in lake and stopped working verizon store guy told me that insurance and warranty were god for everything else except water damage!?
this time i want to be sure and ask if there is a verizon insurance that will cover iphone 4 if water damages it. Please, don't need reply from someone just guessing it or the store guys who tells me everything is covered but when it actually happens they tell you it is not.

If you have not yet purchased your iPhone I suggest you buy it at Best Buy. They have a plan, albeit pricey that does cover everything but loss. All with a $0 deductible, rapid exchange and loaner program. I am not a Best Buy employee, just someone who had to use this coverage twice within 3 months. It costs $14.99 monthly. It even covers the cost of 1 new battery, but I'm not sure how they accomplish that with an iPhone.
