Will Verizon send a new sim card that is compatible with the iPhone 12 if purchased from another store and activated on my plan? I currently have an X and I ask because apple's website states that these phones are not compatible with existing sim cards so it wouldn't work for me to just take my old sim and insert it into the new phone

Phones have had the same nano sized sim card standard for years, Apple since the 6 series. The only thing that wouldn't work with reusing your old sim card is 5G.
