Why does *228 not work on my IPhone 6, and is there a fix or new * code to use

The SIM card is the equivalent.  4G phones dont use *228.  That's only for 3G phones.

Removing and reinserting the SIM card does basically the same thing as the *228 - it resets your network connection.  If that doesn't help, replacing the SIM card would be my next step.  They are free at a corporate store or by calling customer service.

What problem are you having?  You should never use *228 on any LTE 4G phone.
