Please explain in detail what's going on. I assume you're trying to update the iOS...are you trying via OTA (over the air) or are you using iTunes? If you're getting the message while trying to do it OTA you may not have enough space left on your iPhone to do it. You would need to delete some data. Or you can do it via iTunes by connecting your iPhone to your computer. If the issue is something different we would need more info.

Are you attempting to update iOS? Are you getting the message in iTunes on your Mac? Did you look at the link I provided?

You're trying to upgrade something on your Mac? As in the software for your Mac? Or are you trying to upgrade your phone using your Mac? Your info isn't very clear. Again, please describe in detail what you're trying to do and what's occurring or we can't attempt to help you.
