I am having the same issue. I've spoken with Verizon 4 or 5 times and nothing is resolved. I get the "Something went wrong" message when I try to activate it. I have been trying for over a week now.

No one in tech support seems to know anything.

bsmoon, A week is too long to have this issue. I'm sorry that you've had to reach out so many times without a resolution. Let's get your watch working. What iPhone model are you trying to activate it with? What steps have you taken for activation? Where did you buy the phone?

I'm using an iphone 8. I have gone through the entire activation process several times. I believe tech support has activated the line or something multiple times also.

No matter what, every time I go to activate cellular on my phone, i get the "Something went wrong" message.

Being able to use your phone and watch together is essential, bsmoon. Just to clarify, are you getting the 'Something went wrong' message when trying to activate cellular data on your phone or when trying to activate cellular data on your watch? Have you tried to pair the watch with another compatible phone? Here are those steps: http://spr.ly/6587DRkZR.

I am returning mine to Verizon in the morning. Tired of trying to make it work. Good luck!

I’m trying to activate cellular data in the watch app on my phone.

No I haven’t tried another phone. I don’t have one, nor would I want it activated on another phone.

We want you to be able to activate your watch with our cellular network as soon as possible, bsmoon. Please do an initial activation and setup as per this link (https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-215347/).

In a weird twist of irony, that link goes to a page that says “an unexpected error has occurred”.

But if it’s the same cookie cutter solution, I promise I have already done it. I need something new.

I’ve seen online that one solution is to have the line removed and then activating it from the beginning in the watch app. Can you do that?
