Is anyone else having issues hooking up to cellular outside of WiFi area? This is the reason that I upgraded from a Series 1 to 3

I believe that there is a known issue with the S3 watch's ability to reliably utilize cellular signals. Apple is aware of the situation and is working on a fix. There is no ETR. Google searches will provide further updates.

Suekat, congrats on your Apple series 3 Watch. We want to ensure your new watch is working as it should be. What exactly happens when you try using your watch without WiFi enabled? Have you to activate WiFi calling on your device? For directions on how to enable WiFi calling click,http://vz.to/2qsrZKr

Hello......I have an Apple Watch 3. For the last week I have had poor results when not connected to my iPhone and on Cellular(LTE) only. It sends and receives calls ok, but I get about a 90% failure rate when I try to send IM messages on my watch only connected to cellular when im away from my iPhone. Also, it does not pick up the wi-fi at my work. Email messages failure rate is about 50%. Sending these messages is extrrreeeeemly slow. Not acceptable. Also, watch needs to be able to pick up wi-fi hotspots seamlessly just like my iPhone 6S.
PLEASE INSTRUCT HOW TO FIX THIS SLOWNESS ON LTE-ONLY!! I only have a few more days to return my watch to Verizon for a refund if this thing is going to work like this all the time.
Please advise.
A.

With Apple working on a firmware update for the watch, one option to consider would be to return the existing watch to obtain the refund and wait for the update to be distributed to current owners.
If the problems are sufficiently resolved by the update, purchase another watch, apply the update if necessary and see how things go.
