Yes, in fact, they SHOULD each have their own cloud storage.  Each line should have it's own unique apple ID.

Being able to back up the content on your phone is pretty nice. I personally use iCloud to back up my content. Each individual user can establish their own iCloud. In order to accomplish this they would have to have an individual Apple ID set up on their phone. Once the Apple ID has been established and set up on the phone the user can start backing up their information.
