Can't connect to WiFi

This is the same issue carrying over to a new phone. I swapped my LG Optimus Zone for an iPhone 4 and I cannot connect to WiFi for the life of me. Not public, not even my home. I've read pages upon pages of support, I've done the resets, create own network- not sure if this is a software issue or a user error! I'm willing to admit I have no idea how to use an Apple product and I will gladly sit in the corner with my dunce cap but PLEASE, Verizon Community, I need your help! I can't download apps and if I see one more 'unable to connect' message I will scream.

iPhone 4 (preowned just like new)

Being able to connect to WiFi is imperative! It is alarming to see you've had this issue with several devices and happening with all WiFi connections. My biggest concern is that the passwords are being entered correctly. They are case sensitive (upper/lower case). I know this can be tricky to see on the smartphones screen. Do you get any other error meessages besides "unable to connect"?

Password is good, just says 'unable to join network' 'unable to download apps, X could  not be downloaded at this time.'  And I have data, my phone is active and everything.

Thanks for the update. This is definitely quite odd and we'll keep working on this. What makes this difficult to discern is that you would have had this issue with multiple devices of different manufacturers. This would normally raise questions about the hardware of your phone or the networks you're attempting to connect to. If a hard reset was performed on the current device and the issue persisted we would know that the issue would lie with the hardware of the phone or the wireless connection. However, you replaced your device with a separate model and the issue persisted. Let's work with your home network for now. To be sure, are other wireless devices able to connect to your home WiFi connection with no issues?

Yes, I am currently on my laptop connected to my WiFi. My husband even temporarily changed access to the home group and that did not even work.

    Hypnosia, are you trying to connect with the iPhone to a Windows home group? If so the iPhone is not going to be able to that.

*adjusts dunce cap* Yes. Been too frustrated to consider that.

But like I said, the issue was the same with my old phone, an Android. 'Can't connect to network' I figured it was the phone was old, resets didn't work. I wasn't even able to change devices on my own I had to have a Verizon employee do it for me. Yep, how's my dunce cap look? Is it on straight? The Android couldn't even stay in the correct mode long enough for her to transfer my files (photos, contacts, etc).
