Can't deactivate 4s

Im trying to sell my iPhone 4s, I completely restored it to factory settings using iTunes. But now the iPhone is able to make calls, text, and use 3g, but on my Verizon it still says my current phone is activated (LG G3) Im looking for a way to completely deactivate my iPhone so I can sell it. Please help

did you remove the sim card?

And does your lg g3 also make calls with the same number?

I was able to figure it out, when I upgraded from the 4s to the G3 they deactivated the 4s, it says I'm connected to 3g on the 4s but texts don't go through neither do calls, and data doesn't work to load pages on safari. Thanks for the help.
