Content Transfer App, Sim Card Question
PEGMACK4
Member

I will be switching iPhone to iPhone shortly. My plan was to use the Content Transfer app, as is advised. I had also planned to go into the Verizon Store to have it all activated properly. But, the soonest I can get there would be Wednesday, and I'd like to get the process going sooner if possible. So, I thought I would just activate it from home.

Therefore, I will be needing to switch my SIM card from my old phone to my new phone.

What is the best step by step process to do this....the transfer, the SIM, the activation?

PEGMACK4, congratulations on your new device! I know the process of switching phones can be rather intensive, and we're here to help ensure that this process goes smoothly for you. I understand that you would like to complete this process sooner rather than later, so the good news is that I have included a resource that provides self-service instructions for activating your new device: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/activate-switch-or-bring-your-own-device-faqs/. I am confident that this resource will provide you with the tools that you need to activate your phone. For clarity, you do not need to switch your SIM card. I have also provided a guide for our Content Transfer app here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-205095/. If you run into any issues or need additional assistance please let us know.
