My iPhone 6 stopped recognizing existing WiFi signals

Under Settings > Wi-Fi > Do you have Ask to Join Networks toggled on? Your right known networks should be joined automatically. What you can try is the following, which will remove existing Wi-Fi networks and you can simply re add them.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings -- this is a step Apple would have you try so its always worth giving it a shot. It has resolved my issues in the past.
