I have reached my data limit an I am trying to take data off one of the lines on my plan and put it on my line. When I go to usage limits, it says that there are no limits but there obviously are because I ran out of data. What is the problem?
Are you on a pre-paid plan? I don't believe you can transfer data from one plan to another...you need to purchase more data for your phone.
If this is a regular post paid account, you don't "run out of data", you simply are charged overages for anything over your allowance. And if you are on a family share plan, the data is shared between all phones on the account, no need to transfer any data from one phone to another.
The other possibility is restriction placed on your data with Family Base Usage controls, and once you hit the limit set for your line, you are done. Unless the account owner changes the allowance for your line.
