I recently upgraded to the iPhone 6 ( and love it!!). My niece also has a iPhone and it does not keep a charge and I think just died over the weekend. She has a couple of months until she is eligible on her plan for a upgrade. I want to give her my 4 to get her through, but she is on ATT! Please help, when her plan is up I want her to be on my plan because Verizon is just so much better.

She can't use your iPhone 4 on AT&T. It is CDMA and AT&T uses GSM.

You can't transfer the phones that are 3G and thus CDMA only. For iPhones that is the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S*. From the iPhone 5 and above, the Verizon model of the phone will work on AT&T
*It may be possible with the 4S if you know what you are doing. To be safe, consider it not able to transfer.
