The same question.  My service is Verizon! I have WiFi at my Cabin, but no Cell service.  AT&T wireless will dial & receive voice through my WiFi, as will Metro PCS.  This is important to me and need to know if something can be done to allow my Verizon service to do the same.  I can text, but cannot receive or send voice!  Any help or suggestions appreciated.

If you have a landline internet service at the location, you could purchase a VZW network extender and connect it to the landline internet. This will create a mini cell tower where you can get voice and 3G EDVO data from VZW at the location.

Otherwise you will have to wait until VZW gets a cellular tower installed close enough to reach your cabin.

Thank you Ann154.  MetrOPCS & AT&T works up there with no towers and works through our existing WiFi!

We want you to have service wherever you go, WKR101. Wi-Fi calling is definitely a plan for the future for us. We don't have much information at this time. There are apps that will allow you to make calls through data like Skype, or Facebook. Let me know if you have further questions.

like they mentioned WiFi calling is in the works, in the meanwhile if the person you're wishing to speak to also owns an iPhone you have the option of doing Audio-only Facetime in instances where the service is lacking but a WiFi connection is not

Sounds like you have a micro-cell from AT&T already unless you are using wifi calling with them too.
