Recently i purchased iphone 6s during double your memory promotion on 12/27, i got a white 64g one! i went to store to exchange for the black and space grey one! but they couldnt take off the 100 dollar promotion at end of the transcaction. i am within my holiday exchange period. i should be able to exchange for the black  space grey phone and get the same price i paid for it during the promotion weekend i purchase it. its only an exchange, Whats up with that Verizon?

Wasn't that promotion for the 128 GB version (it's the only one that would be double the memory since there isn't a 32 GB iPhone 6s/6 Plus. Only 16, 64, and 128)?

if you got 16 gig then they gave you 64 gigs, if you got 64 gig then you got 128 upgrade!

Wasn't aware of that. Would think they should have named the promotion something different then since 64 isn't double the 16 lol. At any rate, what did the manager of the store say about the situation? It's possible that the promotion was solely for what was in stock so an exchange is not possible if that wasn't in stock on the date of purchase.

  Are you confusing the return period of 14 days with the promotion period? Promotions only run at times for a short time, some only for a weekend.

  Also you exchanged the 6s simply because you didn't like the color. Now Verizon has a used 6s and you expect another $100 off. You're also going to be charged a re-stocking fee and possibly for any accessories.

  I can see returning a 6s for a real good reason. But color? You should have know when leaving the store whether you liked the color. Also when the 6s is in a protective case you're not seeing much or any color other than the case.

The iPhone 6S is a great device and we hope you are enjoying all of the features the phone has to offer. With regards to the promotion, I see that we had one available from December 18th to December 20th. Was the 27th the date that the device was purchased?  While the Holiday return period was extended the promotions would only be valid during the dates specified.

yes I purchased on the 27th, and Verizon had the double your memory promotion again the 26th and 27th, that's why I took advantage of it

It never hurts to ask, but that's not how returns and exchanges work when you return one product and buy another.The offer was only for *purchases made during that specified time (which you were in) with a trade-in. That's not what this is, and it's after the time period.

Usually this works in our favor as consumers because prices mostly go down, so we could potentially save money, because you always get today's prices.  But in this case with a promo it' doesn't work in our favor. While they are both iPhones's they are different products with separate skus, (white iPhone/black iPhone. Same would apply if you returned a white iPhone and got a black android. If the android was on promo last month or if it was more expensive it wouldn't matter, you'd get today's price.

The one exception to this is if you exchange the original product within the return period for the exact same product (White iPhone/white iPhone) for a new unit if yours was faulty.

It would [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] if we exchanged a product and the price had gone down and we are stuck paying the old prices, there's no reverse price matching.

That is not how the exchange works. You can exchange your phone for another phone at the current price if you want during the exchange period. If the current price is higher, you will end up paying more PLUS a restocking fee.

If there was something wrong with your phone you would be able to exchange for the exact same item at no cost.

If there is a problem with your phone, there is no cost to get an identical replacement. If you are simply unhappy with the phone(style, color, model, etc...) you get your money back LESS a restocking fee and then pay the CURRENT price for the new phone.
