If I delete a picture sent as a text message off my phone, can my mom still see that picture on the account if she looks up what I have sent?

Look I'm not gonna like I sent risky pictures a while back but they were consented to someone trustworthy and im over 18...yet my parents are looking for any proof my boyfriend is a bad guy and they still have the child protection security whatever on my phone so I was unsure if after I deleted them from my phone if they would still be available or not for my parents to go back and retrieve...
