In-app phishing?
Kristyclifford

Just had what appears to be an in-app phishing scam pop up - anyone else seen something like this?

MESSAGE!

Congratulations Verizon Wireless user, you have been chosen for a chance to get a new iPhone 6s, MacBook Pro, or iPad

Click OK to continue."

I've been getting it too. I found a discussion on it but no solution.

I started a new thread and found an answer.

This is not a device issue or application. This is called 'Ransomware'.

The site is populating a fake popup indicating you won a prize. This locks down the web browser, rendering the browser useless. The only way to remove this pop up is to clear the data from the browser via Settings>Applications>Application Manager>Chrome>Delete Data
