I talked to a Verizon rep and they said my existing verizon iphone 5s has a trade-in value of $300. However, when I go to check the trade-in value on verizon's site, it says it's only worth $200. I read somewhere that the on the $300 trade-in you'd get $200 on a gift card and $100 towards your bill. I'd like to know if the $100 bill credit just doesn't show up yet until I buy the new smartphone or if this credit doesn't apply to me because I'm an existing customer.
I'm planning on pre-ordering the iphone 6s on verizon's site when it becomes available. If I'm able to have $300 towards my new phone vs $200 then that will make a difference on what I put down for the rest of it when I pay the full price of the phone. TIA!
