Have you verified the silent switch isn't turned on?

I believe Ann154 gave you a proper answer.

Considering you are hyjacking another posters issue.

Settings-Do Not Disturb

Make sure it is not set on (green tab) also make sure the Receive calls from everyone is selected.

What Ann154 was referring to is make sure the mute key on top left side is not showing red, as it will mute all calls.

when you say the mute key... do you mean for muting the volume on the phone?
