If your referring to the sound that Siri once had when activating the feature it was removed by Apple. It still however sounds when plugged into a headset jack such as the EarPods or into your car via a 3.5mm jack in the headphone slot.
The change to Siri is highlighted in this article. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204389
It was debated on various forums about Apple in fact turning off the sound and was confirmed in the above article. e.g. "If Siri doesn't make a sound when you hold down the Home button"
Oh and the article breaks out the difference between the iPad/iPod & iPhone. On the iPad for instance it still chimes, which is different than the iPhone itself.
On your iPad or iPod touch, Siri will chime when it's time to ask a question. If you have an iPhone with iOS 9 or later, Siri will vibrate instead. You'll only hear the chime on your iPhone with iOS 9 or later when you're using headphones.
Siri will also chime when you use "Hey Siri" on a device with iOS 9.
Thank you so much for your input bd94s10. Duplgeez were you able to see if these articles helped you? What is the make/model of your device?
