Reset an I phone 4. Now phone says that it needs a SIM card. Verizon says it's an Apple problem, Apple says it's an Verizon problem. My problem is the phone has no service. Who is correct and how do I fix it?
Did you have service before the reset?
Considering the Verizon iPhone 4 does not have a SIM slot, I'd say this is an Apple problem.
Yes, phone worked before reset.
I would agree with you, but Apple said that it has a build in SIM card and that the phone is fine.
exactly if it is built in, how can yo uor Verizon do anything about it. SIM card is not even needed for Verizon 3G devices. You need a second Apple support person. Do you have an Apple Store near you?
I do have a Apple store in my area. I also have chatted with Apple online, they told me to do the forced restore at iTunes and that would take care of the problem. However that didn't work. I wish Apple and Verizon would talk to each other and figure this out instead of pointing the finger at the other guy. Will probably just have to get another phone, but it was working fine until my daughter reset it to give to my wife.
Hi ajinnings!
Let's get to the bottom of this once and for all! Please check the model of your device. I say this because of all the iPhone models, the iPhone 4 does not use a SIM card. The iPhone 4s uses a global SIM card so it can be used outside the US, and the iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, 6, and 6plus are all 4G devices and come with a 4G SIM card. Did Apple advise you that your device is an iPhone 4?

On the back of the iPhone on the bottom what does it say for the model?
