All iPhone sixes have a Sim card so yes you did have a Sim card and you do have a Sim card. There is a slot on the side of the iPhone with a small hole in it that can be opened by pressing a small paperclip into the hole and popping open the Sim card. With the phone off by pressing and holding the sleep wake button and then sliding be off slide. Then pop open to remove the Sim card and reset it then turn the phone back on by pressing the sleep wake button again and see if that fixes the problem. If not you may need to go to to a Verizon corporate store and get a new Sim card
