First, please allow me to thank you for your response to my concerns. I do
not know what the problem was this morning. It may have been weather
related, as we have had very strong/serious thunderstorms moving through
all day long. Anyhow, I have since then been able to restore the sound to
my iPhone 6. In order to do so, I took the steps of turning off, and then
turning on again. When restarting, I held down the "program"/"menu" (at
the bottom of the phone) while starting up. Upon doing this, and the phone
restarting, the sound was available on all programs that I have used, so
This was a "trick" that a service technician showed me once, in order to
use on an old, very ancient, Blackberry device; which, I recalled working.
So, I decided to give it a shot on the iPhone device. And, what do you
know? It worked here as well! Coincidence, who knows? At any rate, the
problem is resolved. Once again thank you for your support.
