Non vzw device error

Hello, I purchased the unlocked sim free iPhone 6S plus phone and I had to have it replaced at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store yesterday and after they put my original Verizon SIM card in the replacement phone, my verizon account now says "non-vzw device" I called customer support and they don't know what to do about it, I already took the SIM card out and restarted the phone and put the SIM card back in, I ever restored my phone as a new phone and it still has the error, what should I do?  Apple does not know why this is happening also, please help me. Thanks

It's on the main my account page where you see each phone line.

This can happen if you have a non-Verizon phone and put in a SIM card.  It will work, but won't be recognized.  Not too long ago there was nothing you could do. Verizon has indicated they will now add these to their database.  See the attached instructions with a website to go to to enter the information needed.

You're not alone, have the exact same thing happen to my son's phone. We all have the unlocked Global iPhone 6s, he cracked his screen and got it replaced through Applecare and now his phone shows up as "NON VZW" on their site. It still works fine, but the weird thing it is no different than our other phones and they all do not have that disclaimer (nor did his phone before it was replaced).

The only thing I can figure is there is a database of phones and our original Global unlocked phones were "older" and so the database had been updated for quite some time with their info, but the replacement phone is so brand new its values have not propagated out to whatever database Verizon maintains of info from Apple. I suppose it will eventually change. All in all not a problem since the phone works, just darn annoying.
