I switched from Verizon to Sprint and then switched back to Verizon and back to my old iphone 6 and now I am not getting text messages from certain people.
lizmmoreno, you might want to go to Settings > Messages to check if iMessages & MMS Messaging is turned on, and Group Messaging if you happen to be using that as well.
Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same problem and Verizon has not been able to help.
