This is unreal, I just called Verizon's Global Service number and had the $40.00 International Phone Plan added to our two phones for our upcoming trip to Europe. Problem is, the person I talked to knew almost nothing about the plan or which settings on my iPhone to change. I even called a second time and talked to another person and she also wasn't sure which settings needed to be turned on or off!
Doesn't make me feel secure using this plan! Does anyone know what the settings on an iPhone should be changed to when we arrive to Europe? Also, just so that I don't waste the small data plan that comes with it, which setting(s) can I turn off so I don't waste the data?
I find it hard to believe these people working in the Global Service department don't know what there talking about! Can anyone give me a basic run down on what I should be doing with our phones?
Hi Drake, I apologize for the issue you had with Global Support when it came to the Global plan and the settings needed on your iPhone in order to use it in Europe. I like to help you so your upcoming trip is made easier. Now, which iPhone models are you using on your trip? Where in Europe are you going to exactly? The $40 preferred Global plan is a good plan when you are not sure Wi-Fi will be accessible. Here's a link to the information about the plan along with a helpful support tab http://tiny.cc/ydze3x and post back with the information requested about your model iPhones.
