Hi there,

For over a month I've had problems charging my phone, an iPhone 5.  The issue kept getting worse, to the point where now I cannot charge my phone at all.  I tried all of the regular trouble shooting, from trying different cables and chargers to cleaning lint out of the bottom of the phone.  At this point, it seems clear that for some reason my phone is broken, which is especially frustrating since there was no accident or event that caused the problem in the first place.

I have about another year until I am due for an upgrade and another phone, but was hoping that Verizon could help address this issue by sending me a replacement phone.  I can't call customer support because my phone is dead and I couldn't find an email address that I could use, so I figured that I should post this note here.

I'm sorry to learn that your phone cannot be charged any more Michael! If your phone is within the one year manufacturers warranty and it does not have any physical/water damage we could process a Warranty Certified Like-New Replacement http://vz.to/uyYF0o With this particular issue, I recommend visiting a corporate Verizon Wireless store for a hands on evaluation to ensure that your phone has not sustained any physical damage to the charging port. If we process a warranty replacement and our warehouse team determines your phone to be damaged, a charge will be applied to your account for up to the retail value of the phone.
