GO into settings and remove the Apple ID from both Of the phones imessage and FaceTime.
make sure the phone number is checked for send and receive.
HAve you heard of the family sharing plan? New with IOS 8. It allows your kids to have their own Apple ID. All purchases are shared and cleared through the family manager.

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear you're receiving each other's calls. Have you attempted to remove the apple id from one of the phones? Another step to try is by going into settings, facetime, iphone cellular calls and turn off cellular calls. Keep us posted.
