Everything seemed to be going swimmingly with my iPhone 6S setup, when suddenly the screen froze--white with the black Apple icon--and now it is unresponsive.

A new phone should be a fun and exciting experience! Lets get this working for you. What happens when you press and hold the Home and Power buttons together for 15 seconds and then let go? If nothing changes, try plugging the phone in to a power outlet and try again.
