Selling iPhone 11 to friend ; Device still has 1 1/2 year under device payment plan

Hi

I would like to sell my iPhone 11 to my friend.  The device still has 1 1/2 year of device payment plan on it.  I will continue to make payments.  Can my friend just plug in their sim card and use the phone without any trouble.

Deals like this offer zero protection for the person purchasing. The most ethical thing to do is use the funds from purchase to immediately pay the off through a buyout instead of continuing the monthly payments.

leo888, how nice that you're considering selling your phone to your friend. While your phone would work with any compatible Verizon SIM, we do recommend paying off your device fully before moving the phone to another account. Does this information help?
