Shell Game? I purchased an IPhone 6+, with insurance, August of this year. Did not like it so gave it to my wife - Verizon retail store clerk switched the sim cards. Now the 6+ is damaged beyond repair. Filed claim - DENIED. Spoke to Asurion Insurance was told the coverage follows the line not the device! What!!!! the signed agreement with Verizon clearly points to the DEVICE being insured (page 2 of the agreement) The Asurion agent tells me that while it is not specifically stated in their 18 page document (which were not made available) that the device is not covered, but the line is, they try to make it clear to the consumer. What!!!!
Does anyone else have this problem? This does not make any sense.
True, whichever device you have active on YOUR LINE at the time of a claim is the device that is covered. Basically, after giving the wife the iPhone, you were insuring whichever phone YOU were using at the time.
