My daughter is in Italy and I purchased an international plan for her. I see her text messages no problem but she is not receiving mine
I'd chat with VZW on the main website and make sure everything looks good in the system.
If she's not on iMessage while in Italy, make sure your iPhone's Messages app is set to send messages as both iMessage and regular sms. Settings > Messages, and make sure "Send as SMS" is checked.
Remember that iMessages are send as data, not regular sms that go out over cellular connections. So if data is off while she's away to avoid roaming data charges, or is set to WiFi data only, this could be the reason she's not getting them.
