Has anyone successfully migrated from a pixel 2 to an iPhone 8? I have been trying unsuccessfully for several months and now the darn pixel has crashed and I'm afraid I've lost everything! I have tried "move to iOS" and I've tried the verizon content transfer.

Ihatepixel2,
We know how important it is to be able to recover your important information. It is our absolute pleasure to assist. There are several methods of transferring content. One of them is the content transfer app you mentioned. Another would be to have backed up your information to Verizon Cloud. Have you logged into your Verizon Cloud to see if your information is still stored there? Verizon Cloud How to Use Guide | Verizon Wireless . (How to Manage Your Verizon Cloud section). Another way is to log into your Google account and take a look at your Google Photos and Google contacts to make sure it's contained there as well. Use Gmail to access your Google Account - Google Account Help . Please give these a try and let us know if it works. We would also like to make sure your Pixel 2 is restored to working order. What happened to your Pixel 2? Please provide more details so we can assist in recovering your information.

Yes, Ann, I have tried using Move to iOS at least 30 times! Each time it will begin to work and then the Pixel will block the iPhone from transfering the data. I believe wholeheartedly that Google designed the software to react as such.

Thanks, Joseph, I do believe you and the verizon team are truly concerned and I appreciate all your help! I spent 3 hours on the phone with one of your teammates this past Tuesday.
To my knowledge, I do not have a Verizon Cloud account. I have, in fact, tried using the google account to no avail. I have also used the Move to iOS method no less than 30 times. I have also called Apple 3 times and visited the store once. I even called google. That was nothing short of a nightmare as google seems to relish in anonymity. After two hours on the phone with google and with no resolution in sight, the technician decides he should call Apple for assistance. After connecting me on the line with Apple, he quickly admits there's nothing more he can do and disconnects himself from the call, leaving both myself and the Apple technician astounded.

Ihatepixel2, oh my that's not an experience I would have enjoyed either. You mentioned using Move to iOS, but have you tried the Content Transfer App? The Content Transfer App is designed for this kind of situation to help move your content between devices with a different OS. Here's a nice instructional/informational video on the app: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/content-transfer-video/
I would recommend giving that a try and seeing if that works better than the Move to iOS app. Let us know what happens.

Ihatepixel2, have these files you're trying to transfer been uploaded to Google Drive at some point during the use of this Pixel? If so you should be able to transfer them to a computer from Google Drive. Once on the computer they'll be able to be transferred to the iPhone.

Yes, I've tried using the Content Transfer App as well. It will only transfer my pictures, videos and apps. It will not transfer any of my contacts, nor my text messages.

Ihatepixel2, it sounds like you really have been working hard on this and we do want you to have success. One thought would be to export the contacts and then import then to the new phone. To do this, follow the steps at http://spr.ly/6581EuJg7 and then http://spr.ly/6582EuJgC. While this would not transfer the text messages, it can save you work with your contacts. As to the messages, which messaging application were you using on your Pixel?
