New SE frequently will not allow us to hang up or select speaker phone. Occasionally works but more often than not does not.
Have you applied a screen protector to the phone? Or put it into a case with built in screen protector? If so, remove anything covering the screen and try. I once had this same problem and found it to be the screen protector.
We want to help you figure out what is going on with your speaker phone feature. For clarification purposes, are you having trouble hanging up the device only when on speaker phone?
