Upgrading but activating phone later

Hello, at the store tomorrow, I plan on purchasing an iphone 6 or plus.... would i be able to upgrade one of my lines but not actually activate the phone until later?  The line I am upgrading, the person works out of town, so I was wondering if I could just purchase the phone and activate it later that evening.

That's a great question! You are able to purchase a device with a standard upgrade and activate it later. Please make sure the Terms and Conditions are accepted for the contract in order to avoid a chargeback of the difference between full retail and the discounted price the phone was purchased for!
